Our Approach
Agriculture designed for the realities of island food production.
Producing fresh food consistently in the Caribbean requires more than putting crops under a greenhouse roof.
LIMUERA's approach combines controlled growing environments, efficient use of resources, crop selection, post-harvest infrastructure and commercial distribution within one integrated operation.

01Controlled Production
Creating the conditions crops need.
Open-field agriculture remains important, but weather, temperature, humidity and rainfall can create significant variability from one season to the next.
Controlled-environment agriculture provides another tool. By managing key aspects of the growing environment, LIMUERA's systems are being designed to support more consistent crop quality and production through the year.
Climate
Temperature, humidity and air movement
Light
Natural light, supplemented where it helps
Water
Irrigation, recirculation and recovery
Nutrition
Nutrients dosed to crop and growth stage
The growing environment is designed to allow management of:
- Temperature
- Cooling and ventilation designed to moderate Caribbean heat inside the growing space.
- Humidity
- Air handling designed to keep moisture levels within the range crops prefer.
- Irrigation
- Water delivered directly to the root zone on a managed schedule.
- Crop Nutrition
- Nutrient solutions mixed and dosed to suit each crop and growth stage.
- Light
- Natural light supplemented where it provides a measurable production benefit.
- Air Movement
- Circulation designed to keep conditions even across the crop canopy.
- Pest Pressure
- Protected structures, monitoring and integrated pest management.
- Growing Density
- Layouts and vertical systems designed to make efficient use of space.
02Development Model
Build. Prove. Scale.
The LIMUERA campus is being developed in phases.
This approach allows crop performance, customer demand and operational systems to be validated as production expands, and gives LIMUERA the flexibility to adapt crop allocation as market conditions and customer demand evolve.

- 01
Current focus
Establish
Commission initial controlled-environment systems, establish core crop programmes and begin commercial supply.

03Integrated Operations
More than a greenhouse.
Production is only one part of delivering high-quality fresh food.
The LIMUERA operation is being designed around the complete journey from crop to customer, so that production, handling and distribution form one quality system. This integrated approach allows quality, traceability and handling standards to be managed across the entire process.
